Good news, we've sent your private health insurance information directly to the Australian Taxation Office (ATO). This means your details should be pre-filled when you lodge your tax return through myTax or with a registered tax agent.

If your information isn't showing in myTax just yet, don't stress. It can take a few days for the ATO systems to update.

There’s nothing you need to do.

• However, if you'd like a copy for your records, you can now download your tax statement from your inbox in the see-u App or Online Member Services
• You can also download last year's tax statement through the app or Online Member Services if you need it.

Rebate Income Threshold Changes

From 1 July 2026, the Australian Government increased the income thresholds used to determine eligibility for the private health insurance rebate.

If you claim the rebate, it's worth checking that you're registered for the correct rebate tier based on your income. To do this go to Membership, then Government rebate in the app or Online Member Services.

You may have seen the Minister’s announcement about this year’s health insurance rate review.

Behind the scenes, we’re getting everything sorted for our members.

While the industry average increase is 4.41%*, we’re proud to have one of the lowest rate rises across the industry at just 2.15% on average*.  As a not-for-profit fund, our priority is giving back to our members and making sure our cover stays affordable and full of value.

We’ve upgraded the way members access the see-u Health app and Online Member Services to improve security, privacy, and access.

Members now log in using their email address instead of their membership number. If you haven’t already, you’ll need to register for the first time or re-register to access your account.

What this means for you:

• Register or re-register using the email address linked to your policy
• Members aged 15 and over can have their own login
• Main policy holders can still view and manage everyone on the policy, unless another member has chosen to keep their details private
• Members aged 15 and over can manage their own details and claims securely and separately

If you’re the main policy holder and share a policy, you can add unique email addresses for other members once you’re logged in.

Sharing an email address with someone on your policy?

No stress. There’s a simple workaround so you both can have your separate log in. You can do this yourself or give us a buzz and we can sort it for you.

Heads up, we’re making some updates

From 7pm to 11pm AEST, you may be unable to log in to the see-u app or Online Member Services, and our website may be a little slower than usual.

Looking to join or grab a quote? Don’t stress, you still can. New join applications may just take a little longer to process.

If you're looking to submit a claim, you'll still be able to once we're back online.

If you’re a provider, eligibility checks may also be delayed during this time.

Everything will be back to normal after 11pm. Your membership, health information, claims and personal details remain safe.
