Same Starter cover, smaller price tag

Most people (maybe you?) don’t expect to use their hospital cover that often. That’s why this option helps you pay less in premiums than our OG Starter Hospital product while still keeping you covered for the same stuff like accidents and emergency ambulance.

How? With co-payments.
They help keep premiums low, so you're not paying for treatments you’ll probably never need. But if an unexpected accident does happen, you’re covered with a $750 excess, plus a small daily co-payment ($50 per day, capped at $250). Confused? Don’t be we explain it here →

Perfect for:

  • Affordable Basic hospital cover that helps you avoid the Medicare Levy Surcharge
  • Simple “just in case” accident cover, no extra fluff
  • Under 30? You could also pay even less with our age-based discount^.

Important Information

How Costs Work

Hospital cover can sound complicated, but with our Co-Pay products, it’s actually pretty simple.

Excess

  • $750 per person, per calendar year (up to $1500 per couple/family)
  • This is what you’ll pay if you're admitted to hospital for same-day or overnight treatment

Co-payment

  • $50 per day you're admitted (including day surgeries)
  • Capped at $250 per admission

Yes, you might pay both the excess and co-pay depending on the situation - but we’ll always keep it clear

💡 Think of it like splitting the bill with your health insurer - we pick up most of it, you chip in a bit to keep your cover affordable.
